Book and long-form editorial design
I help you turn layered, content-rich work into clear, compelling publications that inform, engage, and drive action — with design that adds clarity, credibility, and a professional edge to work that matters.
The result? Communications that land with ease, reflect your standards, and make your message impossible to ignore.
For me, editorial design is where it all began.
My design roots trace back to Morrison Media (home of Frankie, Smith Journal, Surfing Life) — where I first discovered the quiet power of editorial: structured, story-led design that helps words land, ideas breathe, and readers actually feel something.
These days, I balance brand and editorial work from my studio — partnering with NGOs, comms teams, and purpose-driven organisations to design reports, books, magazines, and campaigns that are both beautiful and deeply functional. I’m also the lead book designer at Healing House Publishing, where I help authors and practitioners bring their stories to life.
For me, good design is about more than layout — it’s about clarity. Alignment. Making complex ideas feel accessible and human. Whether you’re sharing research, pitching for funding, or publishing a book, I’m here to help your message land — thoughtfully, effectively, and with just the right amount of creative spark.
Campaigns, research summaries, stakeholder reports and presentation decks designed for clarity, consistency and visual cut-through. Ideal for comms teams and consultants who need fast, strategic design support
Books, magazines and long-form publications with narrative structure, typographic finesse and a cohesive visual system. I bring a mix of editorial instinct and layout precision to every page.
Self publishing does not mean DIY. It means curating the professional services you need to ensure your book has the best chance of success. Shelf Published is a design-only service for authors who want real shelf appeal.
Design that balances accessibility, accuracy and clarity — from policy documents to public-facing reports. Trusted by organisations working in climate, mental health, and cultural movements.
You’re leading communications for important, often complex work, and you care about quality.
You need a designer who understands nuance, can follow a brief, and delivers without fuss. Someone who respects your time, knows when to ask the right questions, and when to just get it done.
You’re not here for ‘good enough’. You want design that elevates the work you’ve already done — and helps it land with clarity, credibility, and confidence.
