Jess, the founder of PiPSQUEAK Services, came to me with a challenge that many new businesses face: how to stand out in a competitive and often corporate market. Virtual assistance is often perceived as ‘boring admin’, with most brands relying on neutral or corporate colours and conservative fonts. Jess wanted something completely different—a vibrant, quirky, and creative identity that matched her personal flair and her niche services.
PiPSQUEAK’s target market spanned a wide variety of industries, but Jess’s primary focus was on local businesses in the Albany area of Western Australia. She needed a brand that would resonate with this diverse audience, while still conveying a sense of professional warmth and the personal touch that comes with working with a local business. The challenge was to create an identity that felt approachable and human, yet polished enough to convey the expertise and efficiency she brings to her clients.
To reflect Jess’s fun, creative approach and her focus on local businesses, we crafted a brand identity that balances personality and professionalism. The bright purples and soft pastels were paired with a cobalt blue to keep the palette fresh, while the clean sans serif font helped maintain a modern and professional feel. This balanced colour selection ensures the brand feels energetic and approachable, but not overwhelming, giving Jess the ability to attract clients who appreciate both creativity and professionalism.
To showcase Jess’s personality and the unique services PiPSQUEAK offers, we incorporated playful floral icons into the design. These flowers not only conveyed personality but were thoughtfully arranged to form ‘cog wheels’—symbolising the smooth, streamlined processes Jess brings to her work. This clever design element speaks to the efficient and organised nature of her services, setting her apart from other virtual assistant businesses that tend to feel impersonal and corporate.
For her website, PiPSQUEAK selected our Trixie template kit to DIY her own site. We ensured the kit had all the necessary elements—consistent visuals, easy-to-navigate design, and a structure that would allow her to showcase her range of services clearly. By giving her the tools to build a site that aligned with her branding, we helped her establish a strong, cohesive online presence that attracts the right clients and markets her services effectively.
Additionally, we designed a set of business cards and social media templates to further elevate PiPSQUEAK’s brand. The business cards were designed to make a strong first impression, featuring the brand’s bright colours and quirky icons, making them memorable and consistent with the playful yet professional identity. The social media templates were tailored to maintain a cohesive look across her digital presence. With these templates, Jess can easily post branded content, helping to build awareness and ensure her social media posts align with the values and visual style of her brand.
