Branding & website design
Ongoing graphic design
NRM Regions Queensland is the representative body for 12 regional NRM organisations who all work with their communities to plan and work for the protection and improvement of the assets that underpin our quality of life.
I was asked to redesign the brand while maintaining some elements from the old branding. I retained the blues and greens and integrated earthy tones of yellow, orange and brown to reflect the other landscapes throughout Queensland. The logo uses wavy lines to represent the curves in nature (waterways, dunes, weather conditions) while the various colours represent the different regions all coming together in one cohesive whole. An indigenous artist was commissioned to provide the pattern contained within the logo.
The website is a communication tool for all regions, providing a vast array of information and NRM plans for easy access. I used a plug-in to create the map of Queensland which divides up the state into the various regions – highlighting on hover and then clicking through to the various region websites. A blog roll was integrated into various pages using categories to curate information resources specific to each page.
